PHUKET: About 300 people joined the parade from Naka Temple in Phuket City today. In recent years, the Naka parade has marked the opening of the street processions for the Phuket Vegetarian Festival. There were some young participants with pierced cheeks. People reckoned it was a quieter start than last year.
