What Phuketwan says:
Classy and comfortable, the Watermark Patisserie offers top-notch food at prices that are a smidgeon or two below those charged in five-star resorts. A Coke at 65 baht is a bit steep, but the food represents classic cafe dining at its best. We flashed past this place many times on the Phuket bypass road before deciding to plan a lunch with friends there. A bakery that services many outlets is attached, and it's impossible not to think that this eatery would do much better if it wasn't on a main highway, where most people are going somewhere else at full throttle. You have to plan a date at the patisserie, but it certainly pays to plan. This is a delight, great casual European food in a pleasant settling. We all go healthy and the salads are excellent, with names that describe the main ingredient - the chicken, the rocket, the potato, the asparagus, the tuna, the smoked salmon. Fortunately, there's no the Scottish kipper, although kippers are on the breakfast menu. A variety of fresh bread got our lunch off to a great start and the dessert counter is a sweet-tooth's delight. It's just such a shame that it's not in the heart of Old Phuket Town. Whether the Watermark Patisserie thrives really depends on the loyalty of its customers, because it's not the kind of place where people suddenly decide to drop in. You need to plan a visit. How to find it: Close to the t-junction where the bypass road meets Thepkasattri Road. If you are travelling from Phuket City, it's best to come down Thepkasattri Road and turn left.
Parking: Plenty of space out the back.

Dining Review Eating in shifts has become a quirky Thai tradition. But at tourist prices, even Phuket's most well regarded restaurants have to deliver service with a smile.

Good Value Dining With inflation seemingly driving up the cost of almost everything, escaping Patong prices is not easy. But there is a place to eat Phuket City style at Phuket City values, just over the hill.
