Good! They can recover the loss with the new arrival tax of 500 baht and departure tax of 800 baht.

So it's not just tuk tuks & jet skis who think that tourists are cash cows. AOT & the authorities all want to milk the same source. They will find themselves sucking at a dry teat shortly!

With regards to Chinese tourists, Thailand may not be ready for them ... but they are not educated to travel.

They have no respect for others, banging in & out of their hotel rooms at all hours of the night, screeching at the tops of their voices.

I am also told that when they rent hire bikes, they think nothing of stopping in the middle of a busy road to look at a map, blocking all other traffic.
