PHUKET: A young Burmese man who thought he'd lost a large sum of money on a Phuket pinkie bus had his faith in Phuket people restored today.
Htet Khaing Phyo, 20, who works in construction for the Phanason Residence brand, caught a pink bus at Big C in Phuket City to go to the downtown fresh market.
When he reached for his money to pay for his first purchase, he discovered his purse was missing.
With the bus long gone, he turned to motorcycle rider Pakorn Tepparak, 56, for help. Khun Pakorn called the management of the bus service.
Before long, several bus drivers and conductors were making checks.
And this afternoon, Phuket Provincial Administrative organisation President Paiboon Upatising reunited Mr Htet with his purse containing 14,600 baht and his documentation.

I would hate to see this lot at a funeral. I thought Thailand was the land of smiles!
