PHUKET: Officials raided a resort construction site high in Phuket's Kamala Hills last night and confiscated timber planks believed to be cut illegally.
The raid, involving about 20 officers from a variety of departments, was led by the Director of Kathu District, Veera Kerdsirimongkol.
The owner of the property, Chari Kernon, told Khun Veera that he held a legal sorkorone land title for the property, in the hills betweek Kamala and Nakalay, behind Kamala Falls.
Officials said that the piles of hardwood timber on the site were from protected species. The planks were confiscated by the Forests Department.

On the picture, we can see buildings under construction and as it is above 80M, they look like illegal buildings and should be destroyed as it is built on a Sor Kor 1 and in national forest.
