PHUKET: Police stopped a white pickup as it headed onto Phuket yesterday and the interception led to a weapons and drugs haul.
The driver of the vehicle, Kritaya Sankertikul, 20, was found to have two handguns and seven grams of ya ice in his possession when stopped by Tachachai Checkpoint police at 1pm.
Soon after, officers accompanied Khun Kritaya to a house in Vichit, south of Phuket City, where they uncovered a haul of 2000 ya bah methamphetamine tablets.
Khun Kritaya is continuing to help police with their investigation.
Police at Tachatachai were criticised at a meeting earlier this week for not being active enough in preventing drugs and weapons from coming onto Phuket.

For every 1 they catch, a hundred get in. If they had "caught" them coming in, he wouldn't have had 2000 pills in his house.
