By Sert Tongdee Wednesday, September 4, 2013
PHUKET: A teenager was stabbed to death last night in an argument over a girl in Phuket's Bang Tao district.
Attapon Kahapana, 19, was knifed in the chest and throat by Aiyara Puttaraksa, 20, when the pair confronted each other about 9pm in Bang Tao's Soi 12.
Khun Aiyara, arrested soon after at Bang Tao Health Centre, confessed to pulling a knife and stabbing Khun Attapon.

Terrible waste of two lives. There really needs to be much more Police time focussed on this and punishment for carrying weapons to try and decrease these needless killings. I think there should be a mandatory 5 year jail sentence for carrying a (unlicensed) gun like in the UK and for a knife one year. Let's get serious about bringing down teenage crime and also make the gun license much harder to get as at the moment it is easy.

So very sad to see three lives and families devastated like this.
I of course include the young lady in that statement.

Places like bars with life music up to 04.00 am opposite of Patak Villa in a residential area with stabbings and shootings to death and managed by a brother of a Chalong Police Officer is a clear sign of corruption. You can haer the music also in Chalong Police Station. I made a test!
Comments in PW one year ago was answered by Chalong Police: ....not anough officers to control...we have not seen any problems there....please report any problems to Chalong Police Station. Today - nothing had changed.
If you live in the area you cannot sleep until 04.00am when they stop. After the last stabbing to death, at a birthday party, I think it was in June this year, the place was closed for one month. It was heaven.
Nobody is doing anything. The law is broken every night (after 01.00am no life music in resident areas.
