Phuket Party Marks Birthday of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II: Photo Special

PHUKET: About 350 guests celebrated the birthday of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II on Phuket tonight at a party at Royal Phuket Marina.

The host and hostess were the British Ambassador, Mr Mark Kent, and Mrs Martine Delogne.

Among those enjoying the celebration tonight were the ambassadors of many of the European countries gathered on Phuket for a seminar about Phuket.

Among those present was the Governor of Phuket, Maitree Intrusud, and other senior Phuket administrators.

Queen Elizabeth's birthday celebrations vary in timing and style around the world.

Queen Elizabeth is the constitutional monarch of 16 sovereign states, known as the Commonwealth realms, and their territories and dependencies, and head of the 54-member Commonwealth of Nations.

Her birthday celebrations are adapted to circumstances, depending on the country. Even within a specific country, celebration may vary from one date to another, depending on circumstances.

Queen Elizabeth's actual birth date is April 21.

Awesome event and great to meet the staff from Phuket wan who were great fun. Thanks for using my picture for this story, at last I have made it to Phuket wan. Now back to my flip flops and t shirts.
