PHUKET: Passengers on incoming and outgoing Nok Air flights between Phuket and Bangkok faced long delays today after a computers system crashed, triggering nationwide chaos.
The DD7505 flight due off Phuket at 13.20 had not taken off at 15.30. Phuketwan was told. DD7507 at 15.25 and DD7515 at 17.00 were likely to also be held up for hours.
Passengers on some of those flights were attempting to book on other airlines.
Earlier flights DD7521 (06.25) DD7501 (07.50) and DD7503 (11.20) all took off but only after long delays.
Long queues were also reported at Don Muang Airport in Bangkok after the check-in system crashed.
Most Nok Air flights around Thailand are believed to have been similarly affected. Nok Air flies to 25 destinations in Thailand from Bangkok.
