Patong Jet-Ski Rider Falls Off, Narrow Escape from Drowning

Thursday, August 22, 2013
PHUKET: A Chinese tourist is recovering today after being revived on Patong beach in a near-drowning incident.

The young man fell from a jet-ski some distance off the beach after hiring one for half-an-hour about 9am yesterday.

After the man tumbled from the jet-ski and appeared to be in distress, lifeguards commandeered another jet-ski and plucked him from the water.

CPR was applied on the beach and the man was taken to Patong Hospital where he was treated in the Emergency Room.

Once he had fully recovered, he was allowed to leave.
