The loud bang, of course, when the door slams. That sound wasn't heard tonight at Surakul Stadium in Phuket City, and more than 3000 fans will be grateful.
For now, Phuket FC's hopes of success in Division One live on, along with the fortunes of coach Teco, who has racked up in quick succession a win, a loss and a draw.
Tonight it was Dudu who diddid it at the 10-minute mark for Phuket, a strike that stood for 33 minutes until the opposition equaliser.
The door remains open. Having held off Airforce, the team and the coach can listen to that sound and imagine it's a door opening, not closing.
On Saturday it's another opprtunity for Phuket FC to knock on that door against Singtharua, away from home.
