Aldhouse's time on the run and as a prisoner awaiting extradition in Britain for a crime committed on Phuket in 2010 will end with his sentencing on November 28, a judge told him today.
Asked if he had anything to say, Aldhouse, wearing Phuket Prison garb and shackles, told Phuket Provincial Court:
''I would like to apologise to his family and his friends. I didn't mean to kill him like that.
''On that night, I got very drunk. I understand that my apology will not be enough for the family.
''But I cannot undo my mistake.''
With final evidence provided today by investigating police, the prosecutor produced a copy of Longfellow's passport on which Aldhouse had written: ''I stabbed this man.''
They also produced a photograph of a knife on which Aldhouse had written: ''I used the knife to stab Mr Longfellow.''
The judge asked Aldhouse what had happened to the knife he picked up off the floor of a 7-Eleven store near the Freedom Bar in Rawai where the two men had fought.
Aldhouse told the judge that after going to the store and demanding a knife, he rode to his nearby home on his motorcycle.
There, he left the 7-Eleven blade and took his own Kivi knife to Longfellow's apartment, not far away.
Police said that Mr Longfellow had been stabbed twice in the chest, near his heart, and died quickly from blood loss.
After the killing, Aldhouse fled Phuket and left Thailand for Cambodia, making his way to Singapore where he caught a flight to London.
He was arrested at Heathrow Airport and held over a previous offence. A drawn-out battle in Britain's courts ended with a ruling that he should be extradited to Thailand.
In December, Thai officials escorted Aldhouse back to Phuket - the first British citizen to be extradited to Thailand under a treaty that had been in place for 101 years.
The judge told Aldhouse today that because he had confessed, his sentence, when delivered on November 28, would be reduced by half as a matter of course.

Lee Aldhouse is guy a typical thug who was not raised right and probably brought-up to think that he was "special". He thought he had the right do do what he pleases and that is why Mr Longfellow was murdered. "Pitbull" is so cool that nobody has the right to "not" put-up with his sh*t when he's partying - not without Mr. Pitbull showing him who's boss."
I applaud the British government for extraditing their drunk soccer-thug to serve justice. I am not impressed that he confessed or apologized. He would not have done so, nor displayed any remorse, if he was not caught. I hope justice is served by Mr. "So Cool Bitbull" rotting in a Thai prison for the rest of his natural days. I hope he NEVER gets out; but I somehow suspect he will end-up living a much more comfortable life (probably getting out in 15-20 years) than the murdered Mr. Longfellow had the opportunity to.
