A SEXPAT Irishman who was enjoying the company of a favorite bar hostess on Phuket awoke in the middle of the night to find himself being hit with a whisky bottle, say police.
On Monday, the 43-year-old Irishman took the hostess from a Kata bar back to his house nearby and later paid her 1000 baht for her sexual services.
Later in the week he talked to the woman by telephone again and they met and had sex again at his rented house.
At 1am on Thursday morning, the woman later told police, she awoke and, for reasons she found hard to explain, began beating the sexpat with an empty whisky bottle.
Until then their relationship had been good, she told officers.
The sexpat went to the police station, seeking 10,000 baht in damages. The hostess was unable to pay and as of yesterday was being held in the cell at Chalong police station, which oversees Kata.
The sexpat said he had been on Phuket for a month and intended to stay until the end of May. He liked Phuket and planned to return soon, police said.
