UPDATING All Day, Every Day Tens of thousands of pro-democracy supporters poured into central Hong Kong for a peace rally on Saturday evening, just hours after the government warned it would take ''all necessary actions'' to restore order in the Asian financial hub. Hong Kong chief executive Leung Chun-ying issued an ultimatum to the protesters who have taken over three neighborhoods in the city: Clear the roads and a stronghold in front of the government's headquarters by early morning on Monday, or he will ''take all necessary actions to restore social order.'' Due to an increasing number of serious physical threats and other threats to my freedom, which, I guess, would have to be implemented illegally with co-operation of local police, I plan to leave this country next year, with my three young children, subject to proceedings in hand. Three men have been arrested in relation to the drug-related murder of Gold Coast man Shaun Matthew Barker. Police arrested one of the men at Brisbane Airport this morning when he flew in from Thailand, where is it believed he underwent medical treatment.

A workers' rights group wants an independent inquiry. Andy Hall, the activist for the rights of migrant workers in Thailand, tweeted that he was sending a team of lawyers to see the two Myanmar workers charged. National police chief Police General Somyot Pumpunmuang maintained that the suspects were no scapegoats.
