Concerning the us play on burma, i really dont get, why being in the chinese influence will help a muslim minority.

I still firmly believe, that only rapid developement and need for labor will heal the deep seated rift between the two cultures in burma, at least temporarily. The chinese way of ripping out the resources for their benefit and of a few burma elite and their accounts in dubai or singapur, will never bring wealth to the masses.

Burmas strong men still are the totally unchallenged generals. What changed is only, that the media now do not see them anymore. Clever move, I am impressed. Never thought it would be so easy for them.
