The colonel, according to PKR supreme council member Badrul Hisham Shaharin, was part of a team probing the allegation that the sex videos which implicated Anwar Ibrahim were made in Thailand using a clone. In Phuket - Asia's favored playground for the rich and famous - the benefits of renting a villa rather than a hotel room include more flexibility, more space, total privacy, and cost-effectiveness for groups or families. A strong 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit a remote, mostly rural and mountainous area of southwestern China's Sichuan province, killing at least 156 people and injuring about 5500. Thailand, the world's biggest rubber producer and exporter, is planning to offer loans to exporters to buy the commodity in a bid to shore up falling prices, a senior government official said. Rubber is a politically sensitive commodity in Thailand, where it provides a livelihood for around 1.3 million smallholders, mostly poor farmers who form a significant vote-bank for the government. The US is basically playing a geo-strategic game, is trying to take Burma (Myanmar) out of the orbit of China and place it more firmly into the Western orbit. So it is a big geo-strategic game and the Rohingya Muslims are caught in the middle. This is just another example of the hypocrisy of the way Western countries especially the US use human rights more as a tool of their foreign policy in their geo-strategic objectives rather than out of concern for humanity. It looks like Thailand is coming out with all the cool foods this week. First it was the McGrilled Chicken Curry Rice at McDonald's (hurry on over, it???s only sold for a limited time), now we found bags of sushi-flavored Meiji Curl snacks in a Thai convenience store.

Concerning the us play on burma, i really dont get, why being in the chinese influence will help a muslim minority.

I still firmly believe, that only rapid developement and need for labor will heal the deep seated rift between the two cultures in burma, at least temporarily. The chinese way of ripping out the resources for their benefit and of a few burma elite and their accounts in dubai or singapur, will never bring wealth to the masses.

Burmas strong men still are the totally unchallenged generals. What changed is only, that the media now do not see them anymore. Clever move, I am impressed. Never thought it would be so easy for them.
