Colonel Vichid Intharasorn, who led the manhunt for Lee Aldhouse

Phuket Police Station Chiefs in Surprise Switch

Friday, April 8, 2011
IN A SURPRISE move, the Superintendent of Phuket's Chalong Police Station, Colonel Vichid Intharasorn, has been transferred out on 24 hours' notice.

Colonel Kaitong Jantongbai, who has held the Superintendent's position at Tung Tong Police Station in central Phuket for about a year, has replaced Colonel Vichid in south Phuket what amounts to a direct swap.

Phuket Police Commander Major General Pekad Tantipong gave no reason for the change. Most senior police moves are made in regular appointments that come every six months.

The transfer is believed to be unconnected with the day-to-day running of either police station.

Any change happening at Chalong police station management can only be good news.

If I would express my true opinon based on my personal experiences with them it would not get printed so I refrain from doing so.
