The bags were being despatched at night by truck as packages to be picked up on Phuket, with false names and telephone numbers on the wrapping.
The luggage would then be distributed on Phuket to outlets in Patong and Karon for sale to tourists.
Among the luggage brands displayed today by Customs officers at Phuket's deep sea port, where they have an office, were Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Mulberry, Prada, Mont Blanc and Chanel.
The gear was made in China and distributed to Vietnam, Laos and Thailand for sale, officers said.
The latest haul with a value of more than 900,000 baht was intercepted on Sunday.
Although the delivery address was given as an office on the Bypass Road in Phuket City, no arrests have been made because false names were being used.
I wonder how much this highly successful sting operation cost - catching no one.
