PHUKET: Part of an exterior wall in Central Plaza in the province of Khon Kaen fell yesterday, killing one shopper and seriously injuring two others.
The crash came at 2pm yesterday while shoppers on the public holiday thronged the complex.
The two-by-two metre section of exterior wall fell from the fifth floor, killing a 45-year-old woman and injuring her nine-year-old son.
A 29-year-old woman was also injured. The boy and the woman are in the intensive care unit at a nearby hospital in Khon Kaen.
The tragedy followed the collapse of paint stands at the Central-owned HomeWorks store in Phuket City, injuring an 11-year-old girl on Friday.
She is recovering. HomeWorks has reopened.

strange many years ago they had just finished building the siam center in bangkok.as i was walking past i moved over to be out of the heat,20 seconds later a large slab of marble landed where i had moved from. the marble or granite smashed cutting my leg in many places.the security guard just told me to quickly go away in case more fell.nothing much has changed.
