PHUKET: Police are hoping to be able to quickly identify a man who was killed instantly yesterday when his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a pickup in Phuket City.
Hathairat Songyot, 39, was turning right at an intersection in Thepkasattri Road, not far from Rajaphat University, when the man's old motorcycle struck the rear of her vehicle about 5.30pm.
The man, aged about 35-40 and wearing jeans, was carrying no identification and had 1500 baht in a pocket, according to Phuket City police.
The main identifying feature could prove to be a tattoo in the shape of a crescent and star on his right arm. His body was taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital.
