The appeal to followers on Phuket and across the south was made as the man who has driven the anti-government protest for six months went to Parliament to ask why coverage of the Senate was not being shown on television.
He claimed staff of the Senate were still controlled by disgraced Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the man Khun Suthep wants to force out of politics in Thailand forever, along with his sister, former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
Khun Suthep met with the newly appointed acting leader of the Senate, Surachai Lengboonlertchai, and it was agreed that Bluesky TV, which usually telecasts Khun Suthep's nightly speeches at Bangkok rallies, could also telecast proceedings from the Senate.
Normal television and radio coverage has ceased.
''The people of Thailand have to know what the senators are doing because we must make sure they are doing their job,'' Khun Suthep said.
''Why the telecasts stopped at this time is a concern,'' he said. ''The future of the country is being decided and we all have a right to know what's being said.''
The mainstream channels have been invited to send letters asking if they too can telecast the senate's coverage.
There is no clear understanding yet of what Khun Suthep has in mind with his ''last chance to finish the game'' scenario.
Observers say the caretaker government appears to be toughing out what Khun Suthep called ''the final battle,'' which is likely to resume once Tuesday's public holiday ends.
Honestly this has become so boring - this guy seems to be coining a new phrase every week. Judging by his numbers too - his supporters are slowly realizing that as well.
