Eldar Gasanguseynov, who turns 30 next month, was nabbed in the car park outside the Nai Harn Gym in Viset Road, southern Phuket, about 2pm today by Phuket immigration officers.
A letter from Russian authorities last week alerted local officers that he was probably on the holiday island.
It's believed Mr Gasanguseynov had a non-B visa but was mostly talknig it easy and working out at the gym regularly.
His visa expired in August.
Companies named in the list of alleged frauds included Centre of Development, QuadroMed, AlphaMed, UltraMed, Biolife and the International Academy of Clairvoyance.
He will be questioned by Immigration, probably fined for overstaying and then deported.
I am surprised he managed to defraud the International Academy of Clairvoyance.
