Small Boats Storm Weather Warning for Phuket and Andaman Region

Thursday, July 2, 2015
PHUKET: Small boats should stay ashore and not put to sea off Phuket and the Andaman coast for the next six days, the national Bureau of Meteorology warned today.

Waves of two to four metres are likely with winds of 15-30 knots, according to forecasters. The likelihood of rain falling on Phuket on Friday is put at 60 percent.

Small boat captains on Phuket and in the Andaman region are permitted to decide individually whether or not to put to sea in bad weather.

Warnings are not always heeded - and warnings are not always entirely accurate because of the changeable weather patterns at this time of year.

However, ''microstorms'' within general weather patterns can bring more intense winds that are capable of causing havoc.

People planning day trips and snorkelling outings are advised to put safety first and make their own assessment of the dangers.

Actually, I wished to complain to some brands which are imitated by Phuket tailors, as I am sure , would they engaged, they will pursue the matter rigorously and would oil up the process as needed.

E.g. seeing Canali on these stands around PaTong doesn't make me happy, if you pay 700-1500EUR for a nice jacket to see the value of the brand is depreciated in such manner.
