Russians Murdered Friend in Pattaya After Drinking, Say Police

Monday, April 6, 2015
PHUKET: Two Russian men wanted for the murder of a third Russian in Pattaya were arrested in the Jomtien area about 3pm today.

The men, Roman Chernykh, 21, and .Akbar Mamasadykov, 20, are accused of killing a former friend, Gusev Fedor, 32, in a Pattaya apartment early on Sunday morning.

Police say the three men and a fourth friend came to Pattaya and rented a large villa but left in a hurry without paying the rent.

One of the friends went home and the other three moved into less spacious accommodation at the Porn Apartments in Central Pattaya..

According to police, the dead man insulted the other two so badly during a drinking session overnight on Saturday that they killed him.

His body had bruises to the face, stab wounds to the chest and a cut neck.

Police are continuing to question the Russian men.

You have the right to be insulted and then either ignore them or insult them back, but nothing gives you the rights to take there life, its called freedom of speech.

There is no right to insult, Richard. Those who think there is are fools.

One thing I learned in 2 years in Russia is NEVER insult a Russian, especially if you're a foreigner but I guess it applies to fellow citizens too. Russians are the proudest people on the planet.

Editor - are you sure? You seem to think you have the right to insult your readers; you do so every day!

Am I sure about what, Matt?

The only people who feel somehow ''insulted'' are those that insult the intelligence of other readers first . . . and if your only interest is in my reaction, you may be one of that small minority.

You lost this argument when you called the first poster, whose comment was heartfelt, a "fool". Jeesh...

Totally wrong, Matt.
What I said was: ''There is no right to insult, Richard. Those who think there is are fools.'' If you think that means I called the commenter a fool, then you are . . . well, you know what you are.
I suggest you study the nuances of language and learn a little more before commenting in ignorance.

Wait a minute Ed:

If Richard says "You have the right to be insulted and then either ignore them or insult them back" then presumably he thinks that.

You replied "There is no right to insult, Richard. Those who think there is are fools."

Ergo, you think Richard is a fool.

You then say to Matt "If you think that means I called the commenter a fool, then you are . . . well, you know what you are.I suggest you study the nuances of language and learn a little more before commenting in ignorance."

A tad unfair methinks, not to mention illogical, captain

You are jumping to conclusions, dresser. That's what people do when they fail Analysis 101. I have no idea whether Richard believes everybody has the right to insult others, which is why I phrased my response the way I did. Perhaps the English language and its nuances are too subtle for you.

Well, now someone certainly appears the fool! Care to dig yourself in a little deeper?

matt, you may have the time to waste on these foolish mock engagements. I don't. Please absorb the fact that I couldn't care less what you think about me. If you have something of value to add via comments to the essential information of the articles, please do so. If not, desist. Only a fool would persist.

Meanwhile back at the story....'According to police, the dead man insulted the other two so badly during a drinking session overnight on Saturday that they killed him. ' How did the dead man tell the police that?

Editor Comment:

Are you saying the dead man told them that? Most readers would reckon that's what the arrested pair said.

I don't call people fools, dresser. Those with foolish inclinations make fools of themselves - because they can't understand what they read or nuanced use of language. As you can possibly tell, I am not going to waste time on you. Sorry.

Dresser, I think your redress just got undressed!
