PHUKET: Several passengers were taken to hospital after a two-taxi one-saloon car pileup on Phuket's main road this afternoon.
Police told Phuketwan that a saloon car heading north in Thepkasattri Road slammed into two oncoming taxis, both carrying passengers.
Three Russians were in the saloon car, an officer said. Speed was believed to be a factor.
The crash took place about 1.40pm near the t-junction of Thepkasattri Road with the Thepkasattri Road-Nai Yang Road.
It is believed several passengers suffered whiplash injuries.
