Suriya Yodrak from Surat Thani province was apprehended at his wife's home in Phang Nga, north of Phuket. Ninety-eight undocumented Rohingya migrants were discovered on at a road checkpoint on January 11.

Krabi Update Three Thais and three Danes were injured after a bus picked up tourists from Phuket International Airport for a destination in Krabi, Thai media reported. The bus crashed into a concrete median divider near Krabi Town while trying to avoid a wrong-way motorcyclist. A 70 year-old Danish man, Mr Jens Lindrupbie, sustained a deep cut to his forehead.
