One Thai BBQ restauraunts that I frequent just announced that they have difficulty of procuring Rock lobsters (Goong Hin), that are part of their offering, because of "green season and blockade of fishing boats"' thus they discounted their offering a bit on account for that.

Although I of course enjoyed those Rock lobsters, and also liked their price offer for that, it is more than clear that cost base of Thai seafood producers of various kinds will increase as they are pressed to abandon cheap slave labour.
As a result, prices of seafood inevitably will go up, and, probably we will not see anymore prawns 70-80 for a price like 150THB/kg.

Also, position of Thai seafood export will certainly suffer.

May be it lead to better offering on domestic market , as the best quality produce is destined for export (even if it is Vietnam - as per manager of one fruit exporting company), and, as a rule, domestic market is left with leftover - it is more apparent with fruits, less with seafood, but no one who compared it with Thai origin produce sold abroad will not be able to notice that the latter is of obviously better quality.

If you try to hunt such quality produce here you will end in buying only organic, or will pay prices higher than in Wholefoods.
