Well homemade problems have lead to the drop in arrivals and to the expected drop to come. No actions visible to turn the page around though, smoke and mirrors only.

Just a short while ago it was reported high season outlook is very good.

Wishful thinking.

Current numbers do not yet include the backlash from the Koh Tao murders and the controversial way the police has so far conducted the investigation.

Well, at least there will be more space for all those tuk-tuks and taxis to park when all the pesky tourists with their cars are nowhere to be seen.

Phuket's outlook is better than elsewhere in Thailand. If the murders have been solved, the only remaining issue is the return to democracy. And perhaps sunbeds for some.
