Question pops up: why these laws were not enforced until now? What will happen to high government officials, influential people and fishing trawler Captains who are having until now a enormous thai slavery network? With all the readings in Indonesian newspapers, it is shocking.

Last Songkran saw 2992 accidents that killed 326 people and injured 3225.--------- What exactly is a high-pressure water gun except a water gun with high pressure? the ones we can buy anywhere during songkran or what?

@frog, I for one would like to see the actual "law" he is talking about, unless it is passed by government then it doesn't exist, except in some dudes mind... seems like more chest beating. Any lawyer, even a thai one, could get you off any charge. We see many "laws," threats, coming out this time of the year.

Pressure can be defined by pounds per square inch (psi ).
Each two feet of elevation is approximately 1 psi.
So if a water gun can shoot 40 feet straight up in
the air that is approximately 20 psi.
So a water gun pressure can be measured by how high it can shoot.
Maybe 5 psi guns would be ok?
I would rather see them banned. Cool water down the back and mud applied gently to the face with kind words should only be allowed.

Yes, I think most of us know how to define pressure unfortunately your definition relates to static pressure where as your example relates to dynamic pressure. According to Mr Bennolli, who some say is an expert on hydrodynamics, the sum of all pressures in a closed loop system at any point must be equal, but a water gun is an open system and firing vertically against the deacceleration force of gravity, the height of this open water column will be greatly reduced from the height stated.
Your 20 psI to obtain 40 feet of head pressure would only be achieved in a theoretical enclosed tube or pipe and at zero flow rate.
To determine pressure by firing a vertical column of water, not only would you need to calculate opposed forces which is quiet easy but you would need to measure the aeration of the water column at varying points to establish the variation in water column diameter and variations in surface roughness. In addition you would need temperature wet and dry bulb readings to establish what percentage and at what height the column surface water vaporised reducing the overall mass flow rate.
So unless you intend to measure such in a controlled environment, given all the variables that will occur due to field or ambient conditions and taking into account that the pressure source is human energy created by the force of the piston, which varies with the strength of the operator, how will any person of authority be capable of determining what is legal and the subjective interpretation of what is defined as ' high pressure'?
