Police chief told loud and firm that no intrusion whatsoever is allowed into Thailand judicial process by foreign investigators, contradicting to messages from Milano..

In addition, procedural violations toward Koh Tao suspects continues, as if appears they were not provided with a confidential space to talk to lawyers and did it from behind the bars as Koh Samui prison appeared not to have a room for meeting between lawyers and its clients.

My acquintant attorneys in Europe told me that actually tine to spend with advocates in prison is not limited, so those who can afford it everyday to spent with their lawyers in separate room as it is anyway much better than in a cell, talking about anything and just passing a time.

lol this statement and we are ready for ASEAN next year. He said explanations and messages of tourist signs should also be made in Thai and in foreign languages. I have seen very few new signs in ChiangMai that meet this requirement/

Sue,
"much better than in a cell, talking about anything and just passing a time."
You mean like some people, just passing time, typing about anything?

This is just dribble. Do you really think a person in custody and provided with access to their legal representative is just going to talk about the weather?
Would they really want to waste this persons time or would they prefer their lawyer to be working on their case?
Have you fallen off wagon and returned back to the abuse of Sooogle?

Instead, could you just play a game of strip poker with me and my new cell mate and girlfriend

Bronco Bill.

@Manowar

Check the matter discussed:

the person on pre-trial detention is allowed to meet a lawyer in a separate private room, for as long as they want; no barrier or anything , they just sitting at the table.
Pursuing a tactic to avoid to spend a time in a cell, the person calls for a lawyer on daily basis, for a full day appointment 9to6.
And such visits last as long as the person is in custody.
Of course they have been discussing a case too, but everything what can be discussed about the case has been already discussed , and there is nothing more left to discuss about it, so they just passed the time by discussing anything else.

Lawyer can bring on request of customer his favorite food and drinks, any other items that are asked by the person and is allowed by guards and law.

Surely, a client should be able to pay for such daily service.
Definitely, it is better to spend time 9am to 6pm in a separate room with lawyer , and having some regular food, then in a cell.

Some of attorney even managed to have sex with a customer, and not on a single occasion.

Those attorneys then complained to me that they are losing money on such appointments, as although they charge hourly rates, still they are not able to work on other projects as there is no time left for that, and those projects could be more interesting financially.

This all is in contrast with Thai prisons where suspects have to talk to lawyers from behind bars and without privacy.

Ok Sue, I have let it pass a few times.
Please look up " attorney". Your reference to use as a legal representative is incorrect.
Attorney is not necessarily a person qualified in law. An attorney is a person who has authorisation to act on your behalf.
A tuk tuk driver can be an attorney for say his mother or father. He then acts under power of attorney.
An attorney is not necessarily a lawyer, solicitor or barrister.
An attorney at law is a person available to represent and qualified to practice law in the country he is registered.

So "my acquintant attorneys in Europe" does not mean anything other than you know people in Europe who act on behalf of another.

Do you mean people you know who practice law?
They are either solicitors, lawyers, counsel or barristers. And the latter is not a coffee maker!

I don't think the 2 Burmese are in the fianancial situation and can afford the time to be discussing soccer results. Do you?

Sue,
One small further issue. Thailand is currently under martial law which basically allows the rulers of that country to determine what law they intend to follow and what they don't.
There is no appeal unless you wish to trump the coup under which you can then determine what law you wish to follow.
It has nothing to with what's fair, what's right, rights abuses. It whatever the boss says.
Thailand, even before the coup did not follow just procedure in law enforcement. Torture was not illegal, neither was evidence obtained by such action.
I forget the exact wording but is similar to.. Should not be obtained by illegal means however such information will not necessarily be excluded if it assists in prosecution of justice.
You can determine what that means.
