All drivers of the world should watch this 9 year old. If we all drove like her there would never be an accident anywhere! Ever!

Anonymous,
So we all should drive unlicensed, uninsured, unregistered, no understanding of the road rules, no seatbelt, only just able to see over the dashboard, continually cross the centre line.
I bet the other parents at the school she drive to really appreciate the risks she poses to their children also.
No, there would be accidents everywhere, damages claimed against those who allowed this to occur, many dead people and all because of totally irresponsible parents who care about no one else but themselves.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the editor whose lack of tolerance to opposing views are well known, I say hurrah to Australia. Those of us from western European countries that take in these economic migrants well know what a scam it is. The people that manage to get in have often paid thousands of dollars to get in, real refugees in general have no chance. They are often people with some initiative and encouraging them to leave their own country only lessens the chance that that country will improve. The best way is to invest in these countries and help them, not facilitate the migration of their 'go getters'. Europe's misguided actions encourage these poor fellows so thousands try and many die in crossing the Med, Australia discourages them and thus saves many lives, any real humanitarian must applaud this.

Editor Comment:

Not everyone who gets into a boat to flee a country is a scammer. For Australia to structure arrangements with PNG and Cambodia so that even real refugees are rejected shows the heartlessness of this system, Stuart. Countries with proper policies sort out the real refugees from the rest. That's the humane obligation.
