PHUKET: The man chosen to be Phuket's sole representative on Thailand's National Reform Council won a ringing endorsement today from the President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation, Paiboon Upatising.
Lawyer Cherdchai Wongseree was a creative former organisation committeeman, Khun Paiboon said, who deserved support in joining the 250 appointees to the NRC.
Khun Cherdchai said he hoped to achieve benefits for Phuket and for Thailand in his work.
Khun Paiboon, one of the selection panel of five who chose Khun Cherdchai, said Phuket's representative was a man of ''powerful, creative ideas'' who should be able to convey in Bangkok what needed to happen on Phuket.
In March Khun Cherdchai contested Phuket's sole seat in the Senate, but came second to another island lawyer, Chaiyot Panyawai.
