PHUKET: A man who says he was shot three times yesterday on Phuket atributes his survival to a good-luck amulet worn around his neck.

Police have yet to be convinced.

The chest of Jirawat Topsorb, 44, certainly carries some interesting markings.

He says he didn't hear the shots, though, as he felt the pain of the impacts at a construction camp where he lives in Rawai about 5.30pm yesterday.

Doctors who examined Khun Jirawat could only confirm that he had been hit by ''something hard.''

Police think that it was probably someone firing a BB gun or pellets is a slingshot.
