Having said that, I was a competitive swimmer when younger yet STILL almost broke my neck playing in the high surf. Nai Harn's a dangerous beach and I would not even contemplate swimming at Karon. Does anyone bother to explain these dangers to them ?
Brochures display pictures of perfect sand beaches with turquoise, calm waters. Difficult to fault tourists coming from inland cities for thinking it's safe to swim.
