The snatch from the tourist is reenacted on Phuket today

Phuket Snatch And Ride Suspect Nabbed With Danish Tourist's Gold Necklet

Wednesday, January 21, 2015
PHUKET: A Danish tourist who had a gold necklet snatched from his neck on Phuket yesterday by two men on a motorcycle recovered his jewellery today.

Quick work by police led to recovery of the expensive gold necklet and the arrest of one of the suspects.

Security cameras enabled Phuket police to trace the motorcycle after Preben Andersen, 67, and his wife Inge became the target of thieves near the Kata Karon Lookout on the coast road about 2am yesterday.

Mr Andersen could not help police with a motorcycle registration number but police noted that the pair sped off towards Rawai and were able to find security cameras that told them what they wanted to know.

Nawamin Daijalern, 21, was traced to an address in Patak Road and arrested today. Officers are still hunting for his suspected accomplice.

I read George Orwell's Big Brother is Watching you
1984 & also loved his Animal Farm... Animal Farm always seems to have been written for or about or from within Thailand perspective in mind.

Back to Big Brother.... More camera's on the street please.... And weldone police... Keep catching...

Very impressive, that kind of capture and return of valuables would not be matched anywhere else in the world so fair play to the boys in brown they deserve complements when they are deserved because we are also quick to laugh at other aspects and antics of there work on regular occasions. :-)

@ Hulkster. A snatch and grab on the streets of this city, will result in capture of the thief within four minutes. This city is of course Singapore. Singapore is blanckted by cctv cameras, (that work) and loads of undercover police. Well done BIB's.

Great job by the police. Can we now campaign for thieves to lose their arms, hands as a deterrent? Half joking of course...
