PHUKET: Police are investigating the death of a person whose skeleton was found in the hills above Patong this afternoon.
The remains have been taken to Patong Hospital for further examination.
There is no way of telling from the bones whether the person was Thai or non-Thai.
A small brown bag was found near the body but it was empty and investigating officers from Kathu Police Station so far have no clues as to the person's identity.
Missing person files are likely to be reopened.
