PHUKET: Following annual tradition, one of the most important and captivating moments of the Phuket King's Cup Regatta, a Sail Pass in honor of His Majesty The King of Thailand, took place to mark the occasion of the King's birthday on December 5.
Over 140 keelboats, multihulls and dinghies registered for the Phuket King's Cup Regatta 2014 completed a sail pass at Ko Pu, Kata Beach, saluting His Majesty the King of Thailand on the glorious occasion of his 87th birthday.
Navy ship HTMS Sriracha along with other Royal Thai Navy vessels were fully dressed and stationed off Ko Pu, and joined with racers and cruisers from the 2014 Regatta fleet.
At 8.55am, a sound signal was given for the fleet to form, lead by Royal Thai Navy 1 (THA2012), to formally complete the Salute.
