PHUKET: Police hope that a man caught with 8000 ya bah pills valued at two million baht can lead them to a larger dealer who distributes drugs on the holiday island.
Taweesak Juntniyom, 29, was nabbed by the Phuket narcotics team on his motorcycle in Thepkasattri Road at the notorious Kan Ean curve on October 26 with the large haul of drugs packed into his no-numberplate motorcycle.
He hold police he was on a regular run from Chumpon province, acting for a man named Sua (tiger) who was based in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Phuket Police Commander Major General Pachara Boonyasit has made drugs his priority.
He told the media when Khun Taweesak was presented at Phuket Police Headquarters yesterday to pass on the message: ''If you are selling drugs in Phuket, you will see me soon.''
