PHUKET: Pickups do get themselves into unusual predicaments on Phuket, as highlighted again today with this attempt by a hunk of metal to stand on its head on the coast road between Patong and Karon. Onlookers figured it must have either crashed down the hill or been dropped from a plane. In either case, finding answered proved difficult. It appeared to be a borderline case. A Phuketwan reporter was told by Patong police that it was an issue for Karon police while Karon police suggested it was a matter for Patong police.
