PHUKET: A New Zealand man has been charged with possession of illegal drugs on the Thai holiday island of Phuket.
Police in the west coast holiday hub of Patong said the man - named as Taylor Grainger, 41 - was arrested with two packs of ya bah methamphetamine amounting to 1.2 grams and 0.95 grams of cocaine.
Further details were expected to be released by officers at Kathu Police Station, which oversees Patong, later today.
Police on Phuket have been conducting a week-long blitz on drugs since December 20.
