CommentsComments have been disabled for this article. That area is so dangerous after 12am I always get out of there before then. Drunks in cars and when I say drunk I mean hardly conscious driving cars. Posted by Feisty Farang on February 21, 2015 12:17 He must of had beach chairs in the car!!!! Posted by Ryan on February 21, 2015 14:26 Clearly the punishment is not that severe otherwise you would not have so many people doing this. Posted by Feisty Farang on February 21, 2015 20:12 Editor Comment: The reason why people don't stop, FF, is because they assume they will be beaten to a pulp by onlookers or friends of the person injured. Agree with Ed comment to FF. Posted by William on February 21, 2015 21:09 Yes , as the Ed says , i have witnessed Thai street justice after a pickup hit a girl on a bike outside the petrol station on Soi Phrabaramee , the bike was stuck under the pickup and the Thai driver kept driving making the most horrendous noise . He was finally stopped and there were about 30 Thai men trying to get into his car . They were just about to get in when the police arrived . He was very lucky they came when they did. Your comments are plain bigotry. @FF. Yes ED is right. I've been told not to stop at any accident as a) you may get beaten up by friends or family of the victim b) as a farang the blame may be put on you even if you were not involved and c) it could be a set up to rob you. Lastly, why is it that you think that it's only car drivers who are on the road when drunk. My experience tells me that many bikers also have a habit of overindulgence. Hit & Run. Is that a criminal thing in Thailand? Was the driver of the pickup not obligated to stop and provide first aid? Is not doing so a criminal offence in Thailand?
