PHUKET: A 74-year-old British expat resident has been charged with drunk driving on Phuket after he allegedly crashing into and toppled a power pole while making his way home at 1am today.
The man has been named as Barry H Clements, who told police that he had been drinking at Bang Tao before heading home to Cherng Talay.
On the way he crashed his Isuzu M7 into a power pole, demolishing a motorcycle and the pole in the process.
Residents said they found Mt Clements a short distance from the scene a couple of hours later, and reported his presence to police.

Thai or foreigner, drinking to much and than driving is asking for accident on Phuket roads and problems as a follow up. Have someone to drive you home. Safety first. Things like this can ruin your life.
