Police believe it could be the fifth similar robbery by the same bandit or they are dealing with copycats imitating the bandit's methods.
About 11.55pm last night, the bandit struck at a 7-Eleven store in Viset Road near Chalong Circle.
He used a dishwashing liquid bottle to swipe the electronic control and open the till, with staff eyeing a knife in his hand and a gun in his belt.
The man, about 170 centimetres tall and aged about 30, was wearing a scarf under his fullface motorcycle helmet.
He wore a red jacket, black jeans and black shoes.
Four similar raids have recently been carried out at other 7-Eleven stores around Phuket, including two within 24 hours.
Ok, here is the plan. Place a police car in front of as many shops as possible. Just the car, but it shouldn't look abandoned. Place undercover cops in all remaining shops. Problem solved.

A ban on people entering stores wearing fullface helmets might help.
