PHUKET: Two people were injured when a car crashed into a shop in Phuket City today while attempting to avoid possibly a worse collision.

The chaos in the Samkong district began with a collision involving a motorcycle and a three-wheel sam laew then grew worse when the car veered to avoid the crash scene and drove at right angles into the Pumpui Apple dress shop about 10.30am.

Two people on the sam laew, Somsong Teerapatjek, 54, and Salanya Sonapot, 5 months, were taken to the Vachira Phuket Hospital for treatment.
