PHUKET: A young construction worker plunged to his death today from the fifth floor of a hotel being erected in Phuket City. The 17-year-old slipped and fell in a mishap involving a sling being operated by his 15-year-old workmate. The 15-year-old was on the ground floor and had just hoisted up a length of timber when Sarawut Kumwong overbalanced and fell, striking a ledge on th second floor on the way down. Police from Phuket City Police Station were called at 1.40pm. Police declined to name the hotel, which will eventually be seven storeys.
