PHUKET: A Scandinavian man has been badly beaten after he crashed a Phuket teenager's birthday party last night.
With a face bound like an Egyptian mummy, the man was taken to Patong Hospital following the ''birthday bash'' at Kalim, a coastal resort village north of Patong on Phuket's west coast.
The man was named by police as Magnus Johansson, 29.
It's understood he joined the party without being invited and was initially allowed to celebrate with other guests.
However, Kusoldharm Foundation workers said they had been told the man was set upon by teenagers at the party after it was alleged he molested a girl.
The number of teenagers involved in the retribution was described as being between six and 10.
The man was later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital in Phuket City for further treatment.
