Nameless Body Found in Phuket Beach Park: Nose and Ears Cut Off

Sunday, June 3, 2012
UPDATE

Photos at the scene show the man had his nose and both ears cut off - possibly to prevent identification, or as torture before death. A round penetrative wound to his head may have caused death.

Original Report

PHUKET: Police have yet to determine the identity of the body of a man found about 10.30am today on a beach at Nai Yang, inside the Sirinath National Park.

The body, found by local residents and dressed only in a pair of black briefs, had wounds to the nose and ears. Police took the body to Thalang Hospital.

Officers believe the man is Thai or Burmese. Their investigations are continuing.
