Alleged robbers at knifepoint reenact the Phuket holdup of a Burmese

Knifepoint Robbery of Burmese Man Brings Swift Arrests by Phuket Police

Sunday, May 31, 2015
PHUKET: Two men have been busted for allegedly robbing a Burmese at knifepoint, according to Phuket police.

The incident took place around 11pm on Thursday as Zan Uta waited for a friend outside the Freedom bar, on the road between Kamala and Patong.

Two men pulled up on a motorcycle and at first ask for a light for a cigarette, he later told officers at Kamala Police Station.

Then one of the men pointed what could have been a knife in his back and he was told not to move.

He was robbed of 1800 baht in cash and his mobile telephone, then beaten up, according to the police report.

Officers checked security camera footage and pulled in Werayut Emcho, 23, Eakkapong Harnjid, 19, without too much trouble.

A couple were also arrested in Phuket City on Friday on a warrant issued in Ratchaburi.

Chuwnpit Tongleg, 28, and her husband Anuwat Yensiri were nabbed at the Rattana Mansion hotel on Chana Charoen Road over the robbery and beating of Prasert Thewarit.

The couple allegedly had a large quantity of gold and amulets in their possession, along with 199,060 baht in cash.

The pair face charges of robbery and attempted murder.

Too bad the police aren't faster with their guns, because it would be good to have these pieces of crap out of the community, as they will always be nothing but trouble.

Red-neck stuff, Richard. Violence never solves anything.

ed..." Violence never solves anything" I think there are many instances where "violence" certainly solved things, eg.. the Jews and WWII, your own grandfather would argue that war, by definition is violent, was necessary.

Editor Comment:

There are rare exceptions to every rule, but anyone who has ever fought any war almost certainly ascribes to the belief that violence is best avoided and that violence never on its own solves anything. Nor does being contrary. Advocates of violence are to be avoided.

@Laurie, are you saying that the British, etc were right to attack Germany because they were committing the worse genocide in human history where 6 million people died mostly Jews or saying it was right to commit the genocide? Your comment is not clearly written!

ED.. agreed, violence should be avoid, but history shows that at times it is necessary.

Fiesty, where, in my comment, did I even mention the British, I suggest you read what I wrote and DON'T read into it what you want, my point w2as reasonably obvious, though some, like yourself, seem to have personal problems and personally agenda, I suggest you stick with what is written, not what is formulated in your own mind.

Violence is almost always avoidable. And wars are, it has to be said, a bit different to everyday life.

AFF: I don't think WW2 started to prevent genocide; that was discovered in hindsight; there may have been suspicion that it was taking place - possibly even revealed by Rudolph Hess - but we shall never know as the Hess files have been kept secret, even though the 50 year time bar has expired.

WW2 definitely did not start to prevent genocide.

Maybe they could be taken for a bungy jump instead.

Laurie try and be normal I know it is hard for you as I know you never go out anymore in Rawai. Some would say for the best so would I.

@Feisty, you seem more confused than ever, I have never lived in Rawai and why you would even mention it I do not know... once again, something strange is happening in your mind, seek help son. Oh, you need to look at history, genocide had nothing to do with why the Brits, and others, went to war with Germany, again, only in your mind. Now, read my original post, you seem to have completely missed the "meaning" of it, in fact it would not matter what side your favoured, we could go further back, in history, eg the Spartans and Trojans, even from the bible, King David, were war like cultures where "violence" was indeed used to "solve" their problems. I hope this helps clarify my comment, if you still fail, to understand, perhaps some kindergarten kids can help.
