Our aim is to make Phuket a safer place, whatever your name is. What's your aim? If you have nothing of value to say, say nothing.

Would you mind explaining how, in any way can this short report make Phuket a safer place ed?

Most who take the trouble to read this article will understand how reports of crashes make people more cautious and caring, garryj. Yes, it's a minor crash. But that makes your taking the trouble to query it very, very small-minded indeed. The simple answer to your pettiness problem is: don't read Phuketwan. That will save us both the time-waste involved in pointless exercises like this one. And yes, we would actually report on more major and minor crashes on Phuket's roads if readers actually supported us - with real baht bills. Petty critics are a dime a dozen and add no value.

I should also waste a bit more time just for your benefit by repeating our 2013 policy:

PHUKETWAN hereby alters its policy on the posting of Comments and bans whingers, whiners, do-nothings, dingbats, doomsayers, carpers, harpers and kooks. This list may grow with time. Constructive ideas and new pieces of information remain welcome.

I was in Kamala waiting for the light to turn green, and there was about 25 bikes waiting til the light was almost green, when they all took off like the start of a motocross race. I always sit back and let everyone win the race to the other side of the intersection, but this old man in front of me (no helmet) got pinched in the mob and he fell in front of me and slid along on the street. Everyone kept going, so I stopped and helped him up and moved his motorbike for him...then I took off. I hope this message makes Phuket safer.

Yes, they're an unhappy lot of low-quality jerks. Sadly, Phuket has an overdose of 'em.

One word? Can't you tell a word from a phrase, garryj? Better sign up for that anger management course.
