PHUKET: Gospel singers from 10 countries are performing in Patong on Phuket over three days as part of the 10th anniversary of the tsunami commemorations.
Uplifting music will be heard at Loma Park after a candlelight ceremony close to the beach. The ceremony begins at 7.30pm and the gospel singing is expected to begin at 8pm.
Over December 27 and December 28, uplifting sounds will continue to resound around Loma Park and Jungceylon shopping mall.

The Freedom Church Phuket and the Christian Association of Thailand are helping with the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation's annual memorial arrangements.
A sand sculpting competition for children from across Phuket will take place at Patong before the evening ceremony begins at 7.30pm.
Elsewhere on Phuket, a muti-religious ceremony is being held at the Tsunami Wall of Remembrance from 8.30am on December 26.
On Phi Phi, the island off mainland Krabi where hundreds lost their lives, a ceremony alongside Tonsai Bay at 8.30am will be followed by divemasters taking down a wreath to the undersea memorial about 9am. Quiet reflection is expected to continue until noon.
Most VIPs will be in Khao Lak, north of Phuket, for the largest of the ceremonies that starts at the patrol boat memorial at 5pm on Friday.
